Novus & M&G appoint Binah to deliver Novus on Albert

Build-to-Rent (BTR) platform Novus, in partnership with M&G Real Estate (M&G) today announced the appointment of Binah as the building contractor for Novus on Albert, a new BTR development on Albert Avenue in Chatswood.

The project forms part of a broader partnership between Novus and M&G to deliver high-quality Build-to-Rent housing across Australia.

Positioned within Chatswood’s vibrant urban heart, the ~A$300 million development sits alongside major lifestyle and retail destinations – including Westfield, Chatswood Chase and the Concourse Arts Precinct – and offers direct links to the Chatswood Transport Interchange, for seamless access to buses, trains and the metro. Residents will also enjoy nearby open spaces and a wide selection of local schools.

Designed by Rothelowman, Novus on Albert will comprise 199 purpose-designed BTR apartments across 27 storeys. The tower has been thoughtfully designed to maximise natural light, amenity and privacy, while capturing panoramic views over the Lane Cover River to the west and Sydney’s CBD to the south.

Novus on Albert will offer studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, along with a pool; wellness areas including sauna and cold plunge; co-working spaces; a rooftop lounge and outdoor terrace; a variety of dedicated resident amenities and ground-floor retail, all underpinned by a focus on wellbeing, convenience and exceptional service.

The appointment of Binah marks a significant milestone for the project, which now transitions into its construction phase, progressing toward the next stage of delivery. Novus Co-founder and Chief Development Officer, Jason Goldsworthy, said;

Early site works and demolition are now underway, with completion anticipated for mid-2029.

Novus on Albert is one of three BTR projects being delivered by the Novus Build-to-Rent Trust where M&G Real Estate’s flagship core Asia Pacific property strategy holds a 95% majority interest, with Novus as development and operating partner. The other two projects being Novus on Sturt in Southbank and Novus on Harris in Parramatta.
